AGC Members & CAC 2024 Candidates General Election
What’s Consequential to an Avocado Grower?
Voting!
Valued Avocado Growers, the most consequential and impactful action you can participate in for the Avocado Industry is VOTING!! The CAC 2024 General Election is underway. The deadline to submit your ballot to CDFA is October 25th . Consider your candidate choices carefully and vote for the best candidate you feel will represent your voice on the California Avocado Commission (CAC) board. Review each candidate’s disclosure and statements and consider if they have no conflicts of interest direct or implicit. With the increasing unregulated imports putting downward pressure on our pricing and rising input cost, coupled with climate change, we need to elect candidates who have a sense of urgency, actively participate, and who have no hesitations to do things differently for the viability of California growers. Ballots were mailed to all CAC assessment-paying members on September 25, 2024. If you did not receive a ballot or if you need a replacement ballot, contact April Aymami at 949.341.1955 or aaymami@avocado.org, she can also answer your questions on CAC eligibility requirements.
